Truth be told, one of these upcoming trips to Utah wasn't a huge surprise.
I mean, after Dad proposed to Lillian twice during the course of Caleb's wedding events in April, we figured Keaton wouldn't be too far behind him ;)
So congrats to Lillian and Keaton for making it super-duper official and getting engaged!! I'm way excited to be heading back to Utah for another one of my brother's weddings :)
On a completely different note, I've got another Utah trip scheduled that came as a complete surprised-- although a happy one!
Most of you know that I've been blogging my brains out for well over a year now. I've been d-y-i-n-g to attend a blog conference for what feels like ages. They hold them all over the place, and they're put on by all sorts of different people, mostly by blog ad companies like Blogher (my affiliate), Foodbuzz, etc... But they're super pricey to go to without some sort of sponsorship. We're talking $500-$1000 dollars by the time you factor in lodging, travel, and registration costs. It's serious business!
One of my favorite blogs, Six Sisters Stuff, is putting on a blog conference on their own in SLC for February 2013. As the registration costs for their conference are considerably lower than some others, and with it being in Utah (where I might find free lodging ;), I had been scheming for weeks on how to talk Chris into flying me out for their conference.
And then I got an email. From Six Sisters. Asking me to be a speaker at their conference!! Seriously! It's official and everything, check me out on their Speakers page!
So if you're in the area, and have any interest in learning to grow your blog into a business, I HIGHLY recommend checking out this conference! 1) You'll get to see me pretending to be an expert on blog design, which should be highly entertaining, 2) Six Sisters TOTALLY knows what they're talking about when it comes to building your blog, and 3) and $99 for registration, you're seriously getting a bargain when it comes to a Blog Conference!
Hope to see you there!!
