My first Mother's Day.

First and foremost: Happy Mother's Day to our mothers!

Mother's Day 2010: uncomfortably pregnant Ashton drags herself to church (after a 50 hour work week) and comes home to an empty apartment because Chris is in California.
Father's Day 2010: breakfast in bed for Chris after sleeping in until after 9am. Plus gifts.

Mother's Day 2011: Awesome and way overdue.

Let's start with my way stinkin' awesome breakfast. Have you ever had Kneader's French Toast? If you haven't, you really, really, really should. It's delicious. ABC4 released a DIY version of Kneader's recipe here. We took it a step beyond that and made our own Chunky Monkey Bread too.

Soooooooooooo good. So good. No-words-kind-of-good. Just like Kneaders. Maybe better.
Chunky Monkey Bread for French Toast
Kneader's style carmel syrup (don't die until you've tried this)
Put it all together, and this is what you get. PS: That's homemade whipped cream.
Gifts? Yep, those happened too!
I asked for this months ago! It's a mother's necklace. How sweet is hubby?
in my card...
...which looks like this.
The spring signs for my ladder (FINALLY!)

What else could possibly make this day better? This pound cake and homemade strawberry ice cream?
Consider it done.
